Capital flows toward familiar climate solutions while breakthrough innovation from frontlines in Africa remains underfunded.
We’re working to change this.
Africa Climate x Nature Salon curates strategy salons to surface emerging signals, translating them into actionable insights and strategies that decision-makers can act on.
We activate frontline innovators and global funders to accelerate African-led solutions to climate and nature challenges.

meet our founder
From the forests of the Congo Basin to Congress in Washington D.C., Kidan Araya has spent more than 15 years working at the collision points of climate, energy, nature, and emerging tech in Africa, the U.S. and Europe.
Throughout her work, she noticed time and time again that promising solutions stall when institutions can’t see what’s emerging, or engage the right people holding the answers. That’s the problem we solve.
As the founder of Africa Climate x Nature Salon, Kidan builds spaces and tools that reveal what formal channels miss. She directs our strategy salons by convening conversations that surface hidden solutions, realign decision-makers with frontline realities, and guide resources and strategies toward what will actually make a breakthrough in our biggest challenges.
She’s advised the U.S. Congress, Department of State, Department of Energy, and more organizations around the world, briefing leaders on issues ranging from natural resource governance to global energy transition reporting on what’s happening in the frontlines, how unresolved climate and nature challenges impacts Africa and our world, and to collaborate with leadersip to elevate overlooked solutions before it’s too late.
If you believe and fund in a better future, this work is for you.
